Discover Frankfurt, in Germany, with Starwood Hotels

Frankfurt is both global and personal. The city has the character of a metropolis and the charm of a small village at the same time. The headquarters of many international companies, the German stock exchange, the trade fair and Frankfurt Intl. Airport make the city the hub of Europe. However, Frankfurt still surprises with short distances - it takes only 20 minutes from the Airport to the city center by public transportation. And from here, it is only a few minutes on foot to the historic city center, the most important sights, one of the world's biggest trade fair areas or the financial district.

For those with little spare time, the Airport City right next to Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center offers huge diversity: airport tours, shopping, restaurants - this is how time literally "flies by".

With friends, family or simply on your own: Frankfurt is worth a visit.

DISCOVER FRANKFURT

The international ambience of the city mingles with local flair throughout the city: At the weekly farmers' markets you can not only try regional specialties such as Frankfurter sausages, "Green Sauce" or wines from the adjacent Rheingau region, but also admire these famous meeting points for locals and the important role they play in the culture of the city.

The contrasts of Frankfurt are also reflected in the cityscape: Modern architecture and accurate structures on the one hand, and a picturesque, historic city center with traditional timbered houses and the 600 years old city hall "Römer" on the other.

In addition, Frankfurt offers an exceptional variety of culture, combined with world-famous museums and theaters as well as impressive art galleries and cabarets. The Museum Embankment Frankfurt is a unique promenade, with many important museums standing side-by-side.

Frankfurt also boasts great shopping possibilities. The exclusive "Goethestrasse" as well as the shopping area around the "Zeil" offer a wide range of boutiques and shopping centres. These are ideal locations for extensive shopping days with your best friend, partner or the whole family.

The Städel Museum is probably the best known museum in the Museum Embankment Frankfurt along the river Main. Over three floors, it displays art from over 700 years. The art collection contains works by famous artists such as Botticelli, Rubens, Picasso or Immendorff. In addition, the museum also gains worldwide attention from its temporary special exhibitions.
For science enthusiasts the Natural History Museum Seckenberg has been an exciting address for many years. Over an area of more than 6,000 m2 thousands of unique exhibitions from different time periods can be discovered - do you know how big a dinosaur bone is?
